I totally agree with this, and it annoyed the hell out of me as I was reading the book, but I was appalled with how disloyal the film really was. It seemed as though they spent all the budget on Saphira, so couldn't afford elf ears, urgal horns, and I'm sure they only paid Irons to say one line...
