    Simultaneous Submissions

We all wish there was, but no. There are no shortcuts. It's all hard work, tons of patience, and a bit of luck.

    Simultaneous Submissions

Teresa's completely right about that. Make sure your work is so polished it shines and THEN start submitting, but always follow the rules. If two publishers like it, after taking the time to read through it, pass it on to others who might also read through it, and discuss it in an editorial...

    Simultaneous Submissions

AW is worth joining. Like any other forum, you just need to hang out awhile and get a feel for the place. It really is quite friendly and supportive. I've been there a couple years, but mostly lurk, like here. I have more fun reading other people's quirky comments and only speak up when I have...

    Doctor Who 2008 Christmas Special

Nooooooo! No new Doctor!! I like Tennant ;)

    Babylon 5 vs Star Trek

Gee. I wonder why it had the most plot :P

    Babylon 5 vs Star Trek

I'd like to point out something on the DS9 thought. I'd heard way back then that originally JMS took his idea for B5 to the studio that later did DS9. If I remember right, they basically took his idea for a story aboard a space station and turned it into ST, so they were trying to imitate his...

    Favourite season?

Definitely season 3. Severed Dreams was my favorite also. Season 4 wasn't bad either with Season 2 a good third place. the other two season--meh.

    b5 intro music

We have a couple episode soundtracks from season 1 with the intro theme. I also have a midi file for my phone, but it's too quiet to use as a ringer.

    One earing Ivanava

It's explained in In the Beginning. She gave one earring to her brother to keep until he returned from the war.

    Dragon Wars: D-War (2007)

They're not playing it up much. I saw one trailer last week. Usually a big budget film is hyped up more. Makes me question why there hasn't been more spots on tv. From the trailer it looks like mayhem and monsters. I'd love to see a good live-action movie about dragons, but I think this one...

    killing plotholes (together)

Nik, we all endure scenes that make us squeamish, but we get through it for the sake of the story. ice.monkey is right that it presents an interesting opportunity to show your characters' reactions and feelings. It's a point of conflict. Nothing should be easy for your protagonists if you...

    Tales from Earthsea

I'd like to know how it compares to the books too. Ghibli ripped apart Howl's Moving Castle so the movie and book were two different but vaguely related entities (Or was it Miyazaki who did that?).

Trying to identify an old cartoon

C of K is right. My husband couldn't even identify it. He's one of those guys who has seen just about everything from the 70's on (when he was a kid/teen, and later on anime in adulthood :P ).

    the lost tales

About the first episode or rather, the first part...is this some sort of actual demon or a remnant of the allies of the Shadows? If the latter, it would make more sense and follow with the original B5 story. THAT is what I want to know.

    Cowboy Bepop

It is worth it. I didn't get into it the first time my husband put it on--he was a fan of anime before we met--but after actually sitting down to watch it, I got hooked. It is definitely one of the better anime shows and not typical of so much of anime. A great story with action, humor, and...

    the lost tales

I like it, but both my husband and I are frustrated that it's only one episode that leaves things hanging. As he discovered, though, putting out more depends on the sale of this first one. If you want to see more, tell your friends to buy it! Support more Lost Tales, so we aren't left...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...*DEFINITE SPOILERS*

Re: Opinions for Dallows...*DEFINITE SPOILERS* Overall, I was satisfied. I felt that the middle third could have gone faster with all the running around the friends did. The last quarter went fast and the final revelations did wrap up the overall story arc pretty well. And she did make...

    Favorite Cowboy Bebop episode

It's been a while since we watched it, but it's hard to pick one, or even two, episodes! I like when Ed first appears, but Mushroom Samba is good too, and the ep with the stuff in the fridge coming to life. All the music is good, but Tank is the most recognizable.

    Grand Hallows Ball

I plan on going to our local BN to get my copy, but with two kids, one of them still nursing, I won't be going for more than the actual book. I wouldn't bother getting it until the next day, except I want to read it before any spoilers get posted. And I expect them to be EVERYWHERE!

    Farscape Revived On SCIFI.COM!!!

Ooh! I hope they get the original cast back. There was always so much more they could have done that I hated when they just tried to tie it all up with Peacekeeper Wars and succeeded only in cramming a bunch of stuff together instead of spreading it out over another season or two.
