First of all sorry for not being more involved in the photo comps, been busy with a baby.
Anyhoos here's my first for Sept.
I can't be sure this photo has been used before.
Finished The Anubis Gates which I found pretty decent.
Now onto Across Realtime by Vernor Vinge, about 3/4 of the way through the 1st part (The Peace War) and so far so good.
Finished Fade Out by Patrick Tilley which was amongst a bag of books I got a couple of years ago, must say I really liked it even if it did end abruptly.
Next it's a toss up between Way Station by Clifford Simak or Mockingbird by Walter Trevis

One short story(very short) i've enjoyed recently is A Pail of Air by Fritz Leiber.
It concerns a family living under the snow after the earth is pulled away from the sun, they survive by thawing frozen oxygen in a pail over a fire(hence the title).

Hardwick Hall built for Bess of Hardwick the second richest women in England after Elizabeth I, glass was somewhat of a luxury in this period so the extensive use of it certainly makes a statement.
