I'm a great fan of the Revelation Space series. Started reading these due to Waterstones, via one of those little cards they have on book shelves with reccomendations. Have discovered quite a few books this way.

Just finished Phillip Pullmans Northern Lights. Great storyline, Airships, Bear armies - must get onto the next one soon. Am also working my way through the Cadfael Chronicles - am halfway through "One Corpse Too Many"

Haven't seen Ressuretion of the Daleks. There's a fair amount of episodes I want to go back and watch. And I do like K9, but dammit, I was promised a dead companion! Or how about Sarah Jane Smith's wee bairn? No one would miss him.

I have a large to read list, but I only buy books as I read them, as there is a pretty girl at the local bookstore. Nothing like a little incentive.

Almost on topic - Runaway Train, a favorite film of mine, was based on a screenplay written by Akira Kurosawa.

Charlie Wilson's War. Tom Hanks was brilliant, but he's easily outdone by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I remember the series, but don't recall watching it to the end though.

I like wolves, when I'm Prime Minister I'm reintroducing them to this country. As for Wolves in fiction, not sure if these count as Werewolves or not, but does anyone remember The Box of Delights? Those guys in suits who turned into wolves used to scare the crap out of me as a kid - The wolves...

Indeed - Battlestar Galactica has worked out wonderfully, though the original, despite being a classic, was rather bad :) I may be in the minority, but I was also rather pleased with the remake of Bionic Woman. I'm a huge fan of the original Blake's 7, but I think if done well, a reimagined...
