Just got it from Amazon. Its pretty slick, I was impressed with the packaging. I haven't watched the episodes yet but I was relieved to see that they were released with 5.1 audio.

I enjoyed it for what it was, a good old fashioned adventure epic. I never thought of it as any type of historical document other than day to day snipets of life in Roman times. I still enjoy watching it from time to time and definitely think its worthy of a place in someone's collection.

I wasn't until I burned copies of the original releases from laser disk. I was dismayed greatly that Lucas had decided not to include them. Now that I do I feel my collection will be complete.

Re: Hitchiker's Movie updates I've been impressed with what I've seen so far. The attention to detail with regards to the sets, costumes and design are what bolsters my confidence. If we have a fan-genius behind the camera like we did with Jackson on LOTR then we're safe, we shall see.

No doubt, I think the problem with the producers of ST is that they keep trying to make a movie that will appeal to everyone instead of really paying attention to what fans want. Who knows. That was really cool seeing McCoy in there, I've given the file to a few friends of mine and they loved...

Just watched it! Very impressive job they did there! Sheesh, that's the best storyline I've seen for a ST film in a long time. A film like this or close to it could definitely revive the franchise. Thanks for the link, I'd love to see something like this done but I won't hold my breath!

I can see the need for this among some members of a country's government but one thing raises a question for me... ...since these implanted chips are being widely reported on, and in many cases detailing who will get them, it seems that potential kidnappers would know about it too and torture...

I enjoyed it as well. It didn't blow me away but the setting was different than most and I love the look of the characters.

I would love to see a Green Lantern movie as well. GL doesn't have the following that Batman, Spider-Man, etc. have so I'm not sure how well it would do at the box office. For this reason a larger studio might pass and it could end up like that pathetic Captain America movies a number of years...
