Psekrit Psummer Pstory Psix -- Request thread

I think by then they will have Wifi earrings. You carry your own satellite link upload plugin within a earring skintagged tracer unit.

OK, folks, here's what I have so far:

Mad Alice = I would like some kind of punkish type tale featuring at least one mention of a cat in one form or another, that enjoys cinnamon and milk in one form or another. The cat can be animatronic, robotic, demonic, vampiric, angelic, ghostly, hallucinogenic, catwoman, neko, or even just pictured in an advert at a space port in passing. (But there has to be at least one meow, real or imaginary).

Cascade = could I get a story featuring food, with an Arabian Nights type flavour? the story, not the food, or maybe the food, whatever.

Kerrybuchanan = Steampunk, please, with a steamship and aliens. I'm easily pleased.

J Riff = Offhand... Dinosaurs, in ancient dinosaur times, doing real dinosaur stuff and trying to catch the timetraveller humans. Maybe set in Dino-POV. They could get quite clever you know... and they had millions of years to wise up, figure out how to do stuff. They could... start avalanches, set traps, form unions - all kinds of semi-intelligent behavior. So we see the humans as snacks, nothing more, in DinoPov. How the humans got there, what happens to them, that's the story.

Jastius = ( could i get a teeny story about fire?)

DG Jones = I think I'd like something involving an occult conspiracy, shady Governments and glamorous international locations.
And an MC I can believe in, Goddammit!

Robert Mackay = I would like a story set in a post-apocalyptic but non-authoritarian dystopia. (i.e. more Fallout than Hunger Games, as reference points only)

ratsy = I would like a horror story set on a small island in the middle of the ocean.

johnnyjet = I would like a story about aliens living among us who are completely unrecognizable as aliens until someone begins to notice something different about them, leading to a quest to find out who they were and what their intentions were.
Really? Another conspiracy story? You've got to be kidding! Ah, but I want a fresh take on the theme. There's the challenge!

TheDustyZebra = Let me see now, I think I want a story about a guy who goes to his bank vault (safe deposit box) every day, and what that's about.

holland = I'd like: soft sci-fi, time travel, set in space, Fermi paradox, at least one character an intelligent robot.

chrispenycate = I think I'd like one on Forensic demonology.

marmalade = I would like a story that takes place in the space of a day (interpret that as you will) and which features anything but a human as the MC.

Vaz = I would like a spaghetti steampunk western, about a gang of vault thieves and there wolf accomplice..

Phyrebrat = I'd like a scary story set in the 70s, please. Usually disclaimer (no werewolves or vampires).

Germinad = I'd like a story abut the Sicilian Mafia, set at least one thousand years in the future, with an anti-hero and a very likeable villain if possible

Twistedlemon = Very simple. Star wars characters/movies reinterpreted to be in typical high school.

That's 17 by my count. Let me know if I missed anybody.

I'll send the assignments out in a couple of days, so if anybody else wants to join, this is your chance to jump in

Chrispy! Have you been reading my Camp Nanowrimo? To be pedantically precise, mine is about Forensic Necromancy. :D

Smart dinosaurs, though, is/are an area/idea that hasn't been done to death. When you see zombie smart dinosaur movies appear it will be over.

J Riff, have you been reading my superhero WIP novel? My characters went to see the movie Dinosaur Zombie Apocalypse: "That scene where the T-Rex is surrounded by zombie dinosaurs, and he can’t shoot them in the head because his tiny arms can’t hold the assault rifle? That made me laugh so hard I almost needed clean underwear."

I think I'd like a story with a very non-human race (crustaceans, perhaps?), with a blend of technology and magic.

Okay. None of us need to write anything then. DEO has it already done in his books. ($9.95 for Kindle on Amazon) :D

David Doherty-Jebb: I would like a story about a retired lady monster hunter in her sixties, please.

David Evil Overlord: I think I'd like a story with a very non-human race (crustaceans, perhaps?), with a blend of technology and magic.

With the addition of the two Davids that makes 19. Let's see if we can make it an even 20.

This is a pretty cool idea! I'm almost tempted... I'd be a little worried about disappointing my recipient though, as half the requests are things I'd have no idea how to write!

I strongly encourage you to join in. This is just for fun, and a silly request can certainly get a silly story as a response.

Assignments sent out in a handful of hours.

Yes I agree @The Storyteller It is fun and partly due to the fact that you may have to write something out of the norm.

I see some requests that I really want to write and some that I'm terrified of. How does this work? Do I Paypal you the bribe, Victoria or send you an amazon gift card? :ninja:
