Star Wars episode 7: The Force Awakens

I appreciate that they kept the Star Wars theme song 'Rebel Blockade Runner'.
No music can replace this legendary theme. Ever.

Though I've enjoyed watching the two teaser trailers, I'm not sure whether I want to see any full trailers - I'd like the story to remain as much of a surprise as possible. But it would be so tempting to watch...
When a movie is announced that I am sure I will be watching, I never watch its trailer. It keeps the story and scenes unspoiled.
Movies these days release 4-5 trailers before release and give away the plot and important scenes. I am looking at you Avengers AoU.

I know I'm going to enjoy this, but I'm a little worried that all we're going to get is a rehash of the original trilogy. I mean, we've got a desert planet, snow troopers etc.

Still, I suppose that JJ will want to get us hooked before it goes its own way.

I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy it as well. However, unless JJ does something extraordinary with the story it may still pale in comparison with the original trilogy. I'm hoping he does better than his Star Trek efforts.

Hmm, yes Star Trek. I know that JJ loves Star Wars and he's a good film maker but ... hmm, I'll wait and see what you good folks think, in two and a half months time.

I actually really like the new Star Trek films... but probably because they're a little bit more Star Wars and classic Trek, which generally bores me to tears. So I'm probably going to be fine with Episode VII!

Still looking good! I'm curious about the whole 'the stories are true' angle, with the goings on in the original trilogy being consigned to a kind of myth/legend status. Given the scenes of celebration George shoehorned into the end of the re-releases, you'd think those guys would have been superstars in the immediate aftermath!

I got my tix! seeing it in VIP 3D on the 19th in the afternoon...cant wait!!

I love the way the trailer uses the Han/Leia and Force themes - both of them give me goosebumps every time I hear them :)

Got my tickets, too - 17th December, Odeon Leicester Square :D

So from the trailer it seems like Luke has a bitter, younger brother? Or nephew maybe. Who looks up to Darth Vader's memory.

Brain. Say this mantra. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm not going to watch it.

Let us form a pact. Whoever breaks first buys the beer. (y)
