Skye adjusts to her new mountain top surroundings and new buddy "him from the Tomorrow People" reprising his role as an untrustworthy super! They were hiding Raina there too, she's still not too happy about getting the power of looking weird, surprisingly.

Her mother is alive too, dissection by Whitehall wasn't enough to kill her apparently. I'm glad, as she's played by a great actor from Whedonverse, Dichen Lachman and it was a shame when we thought she'd been killed off.

Meanwhile in SHIELD vs SHIELD, great to see Fitz and Simmons making use of their recent animosity to get Fury's Toolbox out from under General Adama's nose, while Coulson drafts in Deathlok to grab themselves a Quinjet!

Yeah, this was a good one. I spent the whole episode telling Skye not to drink the Kool-Aid. :) But I hope she does learn some stuff. I think you covered it - it seems kind of cheap/cheating but it's worth it: I'm glad Dichen is alive now, too. (The scene with her talking about whether Skye would see a "connection" was great.) And it is great to see Fitz and Simmons on the same page again. Not sure what I think about the "bad plan" (other than it seems pretty bad to me too) but I guess we'll see how it plays out.

But what is it with the Whedon boys scarring beautiful women? They had one of the most beautiful women on the planet in Amy Acker get scarred up on Dollhouse and now they have Dichen Lachman scarred as she moves to this show.

I wonder if Skye will eventually lose her powers or leave the show because the premise has always been regular humans dealing with extraordinary people and objects. No one so far with powers has stayed with the team/show on a regular basis. Don't forget Amy Acker played Coulson's cello love interest and J August Richards (Deathlok) is another Whedonverse member from Angel, and he too has been scarred, physically and emotionally...tear!

I didn't know that Amy Acker was a top Whedon go-to actress. I never watched Dollhouse, but it's in my Netflix queue. I'll have to give a try and take another look at The Cabin in the Woods.

Great stuff! I was trying to give Gonzales the benefit of the doubt, but when one of the character's described it as a "witch hunt" I realised that he's playing the role of a witchfinder general. The scene at the end with May and the loaded gun was a good piece of character building to show his sincerity and that he does have humility - even if he is actually in the wrong.

Hydra seems pretty quiet - so I'm guessing that Skye's new refuge will prove more of a prison than a sanctuary...

Good touch with Fitz and Simmons - I thought they were hamming it up a little. Good piece of play.

Oh - and Deathlok - nice touch!

And they need Agent Ward?? That was, perhaps, the biggest surprise of all. :)

Season 2 is still going strong.
