Match the following 7 descriptions to the current members of the Kingsguard.


1) I have served 4 Kings, each younger than the one before.

2) Despite the character of my kin, I am the least suited to wear this cloak.

3) Used and lied to, I follow a false trail to avenge my brother's death.

4) No one knows from whence I came and no one knows whom I serve.

5) I am all that stands between dynasty and destruction.

6) While always dutifull I am little loved and treated with disdain.

1) Barristan Selmy
2) Osmund Kettleblack.

I messed up that list. -.- Barristan is technically no longer in the 7 and I counted him instead of Boros Blount. Boros could also pass under 6 with Meryn Trant (because they both do as they are told and are treated with disdain by others because Boros is an inept drunk demoted to food taster and Meryn is just a cruel and sly man who lacks common sense and nobody loves him and Jaime treats him with disdain), but IDK then who number 1 should be then . I'm also not sure for Osmund as 2, but his claim to knighthood is rather iffy unlike that of Osfryd and Osney. They were indeed knighted while Osmund just says he was.

Rehash of the list

1) Jaime Lannister (Aerys, Robert, Jaime, Tommen - I forgot how fast kings change nowadays)
2) Osmund Kettleblack (Explained)
3) Balon Swan (Dornish lied to him about death of the White Brother killed by Aero Hoath)
4) Robert Strong (Origin unknown except to the reader)
5) Meryn Trant (Doesn't fit anywhere else tbh and is the only actual knight and fighter of KG in KL atm)
6) Boros Blount (He does what he is asked, but considering they degraded him to food taster, disdain doesn't get worse)
7) Loras Tyrell (Served Renly and now serves Tommen)
 
so far nobody is right.

Jaime is indeed #1 - 4 kings are Aerys, Robert, Joffrey and Tommen. He is also the only member of the kingsguard left who served Aerys.

Balon Swan is #3 - Used by Cersei to murder some dornishmen (though that plot fell through), and lied to by the Dornish about who killed Arys Oakhart.

Meryn Trant is #6 - Always did what Joffrey asked, including beating Sansa. nobody likes him and Jaime hates him.

All the rest are wrong

Sorry, I seem to have caused some confusion...

Sry was right, Loras Tyrell is #7. I was trying to confirm those that both of you got correct.
Nark was right about Boros Blount being #2.

Since I messed up so Royally, I will give the answers and award the win to Nark, who had 4 correct answers in his first post compared to Sry's 3.

2) Despite the character of my kin, I am the least suited to wear this cloak. Boros Blount. Even compared to Jaime and Osmand Kettleblack, Borous is the least suited to a white cloak. Fat, slow, lazy and a coward, he surrendered Prince Tommen to Bronn without a fight.

4) No one knows from whence I came and no one knows whom I serve. Osmond Kettleblack. Nobody had heard of the Kettleblacks before, and nobody (except us, Sansa and the Kettleblacks themselves) know that the kettleblacks are actually working for Littlefinger and have been all along.

5) I am all that stands between dynasty and destruction. Robert Strong, who will be defending the Queen in the trial of the faith, a trial that, if Cersei losses, will mean the end of not only her rule, but that of Tommen as well as it will likely be revealed that Tommon was not King Roberts true born son. This will also bring down the power of house Tyrell, since Margeary is married to Tommen.

Right? Renly should have sworn his swords to Stannis under the condition that Stannis name him heir. Stannis had no sons, so it would have been logical anyway. Defeat the Lannisters and deal with each other after the war. There was a good chance that one of them would have died in battle anyway, It is War after all.

Probably not when she's got greyscale. Tyrells would probably have had that exception written into law: "and the daughter shall come before the brother unless the daughter is all gross with greyscale".

I'm just going to offer a really stupidly easy question cos I just have nothing good.

That is why I said it would be a condition of Renly following Stannis. Yes, Shireen would come before Renly, but if Stannis gave the word, he could name Renly as his Heir. Kings can do that.
 
If I had been Renly I'd have had Stannis marry Shireen to Sir Loras knowing full well the union would bear no fruit, allowing me (Renly) to be all but King...
