The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Is anyone watching this, we have nearly finished the first series and I'm loving it. It has a 30 Rock kind of feel to it, sometimes the humour is insanely silly (which I love) but the plot trundles along with a huge joke count. They have a lot of throw away lines that are easy to miss but very funny.

I really enjoyed this too, Moonbat! I was quite worried after the first couple of shows. But once the series hit its stride, maybe 3-4 episodes in, it was terrific. There are a lot of small goofy jokes, and in almost every show they manage a few moments of comedic genius (the 1930s or 1940s movie parody at the end of one show is perfect, and hilarious...sorry, I can't think of the episode title). I was surprised by the end of the season that I really cared for just about every major character. A really-really weird show...and wonderful in the way that weird shows sometimes can be. Ellie Kemper completely embraces the character of Kimmie, and her remarkably sincere performance makes the show irresistible.

I binged it when it first came out and enjoyed it...almost forgot about it already though.

There were some really funny, good parts in the show.

Oy! I kind of disliked the theme song, ratsy, at first...but by the third or fourth episode I was crazy for it!

Not quite as good as 30 Rock, but enjoyable, and that theme song really sticks in your head. Ellie Kemper takes her innocent, ditzy girl act to an entirely new level.

I'm looking forward to what they'll do with the second series - by all accounts, Netflix picked it up from NBC after the first series was pretty much done, which would explain why it doesn't flow quite like other Netflix series. I'd quite like to see more groups of episodes in series two, similar to the last three of the first series.

I thought the show got better as the series went on. The finale was a bit of a letdown, though. I think the second season should be better.
