DISCUSSION -- January 2015 300-word Writing Challenge (#16)

Thanks for the longlisting and the terrific comment, Storyteller.

A lot of good stories, it's tough to find just three to vote for but I've settled on the following:-

Victoria Silverwolf - Ascension
Juliana - The Blessing Bough
The Judge - Pillar of the Community

A massive thank you to The Storyteller, not only for the vote but for the very kind words too! A good start to a Sunday morning!

Thank you springs for my vote and The Storyteller for an honourable mention! Unheard-of events for my scribblings this early in a challenge.

Interesting to see the common themes running through the stories, especially as I fell into one of them. Societal memes and legendry strike again.

So, without further ado, the three authors who crafted tales that demanded my vote:

Cat's Cradle
Juliana
Cascade

Thanks for the shortlisting holland, and the long listing storyteller. There were many excellent stories this time, especially those by Juliana, Cascade, JT Borstlap, and Sancho, but my votes went to:

willwallace
Mr Orange
The Judge

My votes went to Moonbat, CC and Rafellin of which Moonbat's was my favourite.

Long list and shortlist:

Springs, Juliana, Cascade, Karn, Sancho, Glen, Remedy, Storyteller, TJ and Mosaix.

It took real effort to reduce that even to the ones mentioned because all the entries were so good.

Terrific entries, as usual. Pretty much everyone could make my long list, but in the interest of brevity-

Kerrybuchanan, Fartnfar, reiver33, Karn M., Phyrebrat, Justius, Rafellin, mosaix

An almost as long shortlist-

Cat's Cradle, Springs , Littlestar , Moonbat , Culhwch

And finally, my votes went to Victoria Silverwolf, Juliana, and Perpetual man.

Thanks to Anne Martin, springs, and Holland for the votes. :)

Thank you so much, Willwallace, for your longlisting. (I hope that's meant to be me. :D)

Another big thanks, this time to willwallace, for the vote.

Hopefully I'll be able to read and vote over the next few days

Thanks for the mention, Juliana, and a BIG thank you to Springs for the vote! Really appreciated.

I'm still working my way through the entries, so I'll be checking back later.
