principal of least correction

I think it's called "Minimum Necessary Change" and it's from "The End of Eternity". IIRC, natch.
 
Thanks. It was bugging me that my friend, who I think of as all knowing came up with a concept that we could not find on the net. I will take it from here. Thanks so much.
 
Asimov ruminated about the principles of psychohistory for decades, although I don't recall him ever using the exact phrase "principle of least correction". It sounds like the idea that The Plan should only be messed with when absolutely necessary.
