MARVEL Agents of SHIELD

I have to admit that I thought last week's episode concluded with the end-of-season cliff-hanger. Until your previous post, I'd not intended to even check whether the show was on tomorrow, let alone next week.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been renewed! If this news had come as few as six or seven episodes ago, I'd have been somewhat surprised. Now that it's out of the shadow of the new Captain America film, however, the series has been far more exciting, and the news is welcomed.

Alongside a second series of MAoS..., ABC have announced a new Marvel series: Marvel's Agent Carter, which follows Peggy Carter (with Hayley Atwell reprising her role) in 1946:

The story is set in 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life — Steve Rogers.

ABC Picks Up 'Marvel's 'Agent Carter', Renews 'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Huzzah!

Felt a bit lukewarm about it, but the second half of the season has dramatically improved things. Definitely deserves a renewal.

Watching last weeks episode was odd, Amy Acker as Coulsons long lost love, didnt even recognise her till she spoke. bit of an Angel reunion, wonder when or if will we see Mr Boreanz? Who would he play? :D Heheh would love to see Eliza Dushku in it....maybe in a nice tight Shield uniform...... maybe someone could suggest that....I mean it would be a help to a talented actress...honestly....thats my only interest! ......;)

Well we've had Amy Acker and J August Richards from Angel and Ron Glass from Firefly. It'd be nice to see Firefly's Sean Maher. Can't see DB turning up, what with the current success of Bones.

I've just had a thought. In the Avengers film where Coulson gets killed, don't they say he's got kids? Has this been mentioned in SHIELD? Or has it been forgotten about?

If I recall rightly, they just say he has a girlfriend.

Last episode tonight, in my neck of the woods. Whole family is excited!

WTF it means? Ultron? Thanos? Agent Coulson was drawing it on the wall at the end of the first season and now it appears on Californian billboard. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/08/18/a.../?hootPostID=6e4dd322d4a74d09cbdc856091a0c234

It seems Marvel’s MCU-set spy series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is looking to embrace the world of the comic books even more. With the introduction of Mockingbird announced earlier in the week, we can now also report that Absorbing Man will make an appearance in the show’s second season premiere.

The Stan Lee and Jack Kirby creation will be played by Brian Patrick Wade, who’s appeared previously in Teen Wolf, The Big Bang Theory, CSI: Miami and many more.

Absorbing Man, real name Carl Creel, is a super villain who can absorb anything he touches. As ever, the introduction of a new super-powered villain is bound to cause headaches for Coulson and the gang. It makes us wonder, too, if we’ll see Graviton again in this season.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to US screens on 23 September. Channel 4 still haven’t confirmed if they’re maintaining the rights to the UK broadcast.

Lucy Lawless as Agents Of SHIELD’s Agent Isabelle Hartley
Marvel has unveiled the first look at Lucy Lawless as Agent Isabelle Hartley in Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD Season Two.

The official Marvel Twitter page revealed the first look at the character, who is an old friend of Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson. “When we meet her, she might not necessarily be on the right side of things,” showrunner Jed Whedon told EW.

Season 1 ended on a positive note. Looking forward to season 2:)

File transfer, anyone?

A large file transfer. Loved that line/scene. :)

Lucy Lawless as Agents Of SHIELD’s Agent Isabelle Hartley

Definitely another reason to watch. The show still hasn't sold me in an "I love it, can't miss it, will buy the DVDs" sense, but I have enjoyed it overall and do look forward to it.

Lance Hunter? That sounds like a chap whose superpower is seducing straight men.
