If there was a movie?

Oh, that's right - it was Preceptor Komier and Patriarch Bergsten. I must have got them mixed up. (Apologies. Very long day) Thanks, Zombie.:)

Patriarch! Darnit! Why couldn't I remember that? Thank you Talysia!

Well another viewing of 'Epic Movie' has me thinking of Adam Campbell as Berit. He's young. Pretty handy with a sword. Not too bad looking (when he's not playing a goofy character).

He makes a good Berit, although if they were to make a movie, I'd hope he was about the same size as the person they cast as Sparhawk. Otherwise a couple of the scenes wouldn't look right. Other than that, he looks the part.

I think he would be, I'll have to double check. But they can always use a bit of magic (wiggle of fingers) - LOTR did pretty good with height differences between characters. And Adam looks good in chain mail wielding a sword.

LMAO! Deff David Spade. He's small and thin and but he is a bit older than I imagined Silk. nvm. Also he has the greatest voice and deffo will be able to deliver Silks hilarious lines!

I think David Spade grows on me more and more since reading your post DarkIntentions. Since we did open the ability to troll time for casting people we can snatch a slightly younger David Spade. ;)

Woot. Then we can get an older Catherine Zeta for Polgara? :D
Omg. I was in a Music Zone the other day and there was a guy at the counter who looked about 20/25 and he had gingery-brown hair and such a rat-nose and he gave me my BestOfBowie and a reciept and I just stared at him. I bet he though I was a right wierdo, I almost had to stop myself from saying "Thanks, Silk". Slightly embarrasing.

O the life of Juliette Curran.

Cast.

Belgarath: Bernard Hill
Polgara: Catherine Zeta Jones
Garion: Heath ledger
Silk: Robert Carlyle (51 State)
Ce'Nedra: avril lavigne
Zedar: Christopher Lee
Torak: Antonio Banderas or keanu reeves
The Twins: Brent Spiner
Beldin: Danny DeVito
Aldur: Sir Ian Mckellen

Remember people, silk is not supposed to be good looking so johnny dep would be a bad choice in my opinion and Tom Cruise.

hmmm..... this one started with who would you go with for a belgariad movie, (ok I skipped to the end so didn't see translation) and seemed to hop to elenium movie as well... sheesh.

ok, wel in that case :
Belgariad to movie my vote would be
Polgara - Madeline Stowe
Belgarath - Iam Holm (plays both laughable comic relief characters, as well as serious scary )
Barak, would end up having to be FXed into gigantic statue probably,
think I'd stay spade for silk,
Durnik - maybe Tom Jane
Garion and Ce-Nedra, think I'll agree, brand new actors for those two, since they have to be young.

as far as elenium goes,
Sephrenia, lol, would say dakota fanning, mainly because the little mother seems to have had her growing stop when her little sister was born. (feeling I got from the stories)
talen - no name... age being an issue
martel - might have suggested Walken for that part but think he's gotten too old for it.
Sparhawk - Only person I can think of off the top of my head in hollywood with a broken beak is owen wilson. so doesn't look the part. does look the part and almost attitude for Kalten though. funny part is that Luke wilson would almost fit the bill for sparhawk on every look but the nose. thinking that they might be able to bulk up a bit, but not really necessary.

Annias - F. Murray Abraham, if he's still alive.
can't think of anyone else at this point.

Owen Wilson would be a good choice for Kalten actually. He's got that playful sense of humor needed for the role.

that was the dilemma, by hair and attitude, Owen is much more kaltenish, but one major literary point is that sparhawk has the obviously broken nose. Luke Wilson, while kinda looking something of the part (dark hair, crude etc....) but no broken nose.......

lol, might be interesting to see computer assist for that.

Computer could .... but I still go back to Simon Pegg for Kalten. I just like the fit of him for the part.

Belgarath : David Jacobi
Polgara : Kate Beckinsale
Beldin : Warwick Davis
Barak : Vladimir Kulich
Silk : Robert Carlyle
Durnik : Val Kilmer
Garion : newbies
Ce-Nedra : newbies
The Gods: CGI :p

You know .... what about Gorden Ramsey for Tynian or Kalten?

I hope there isn't a movie because it would be bad. Key parts of the story would end up being cut out. Not to mention the cast. There are some characters with no one who can play them, mostly because of image. The only characters with actors/actresses that look like them are:

Polgara: Catherine Zeta Jones (hands down there is no way anyone else can play her - especially not Angelina Jolie!)

Adara: Natalie Portman (when i saw the picture on this site, Belgariad - Volontà e Parola sul WEB, it screamed adara)

Sadi: Arnold Vosloo (look at the picture in the link above and you'll see why)

Silk- Steve Buschemi
Barak - Ewan McGreggor
Polgara- Angelina Jolie or Sandra Bullock
Belgarath - Billy Connelly or Ian Holm
Beldin - warwick davis
garion young newbie - though I used to imagine Topher Grace in the part
ce'nedra- majandra delfino or emma watson
Hettar -Ioan Gruffudd
Durnik - Bill Pullman
Taiba - Aishwarya Rai
Relg - Jason Behr
Aldur- Sean Connery
Ul- Ian McKellan
Torak - Orlando Bloom
Chamdar/asharak - Naveen Andrews
Zakath - Edward Norton

for the Elenium
Sparhawk - Eric Bana with a prosthetic nose
Ehlana - Keira Knightly
Sephrenia - Parminder Nagra
Kalten -Brad Pitt
Tynian -Joel Edgerton
Ulath - Viggo Mortensen
Bevier - Brendan Fehr
Berit - Jake Gyllenhaal
Kurik -Jeremy Irons

Quite a few good choices there, Wybren. I wouldn't have thought of Billy Connelly for Belgarath, or Sandra Bullock for Polgara (although Angelina Jolie has been mentioned before). Good choices!

Welcome to the Chronicles!:)

Polgara can only be portrayed correctly by Catherine Zeta Jones
Angelina Jolie would be an insult
