This month's Challenge brought to you by last month's winner, Cascade!

Theme: Redemption
Genre: Cyberpunk

Rules may be found here: Rules thread
Stories may be posted here: Challenge thread

We invite (and indeed hope for) lively discussion and speculation about the stories as they are posted, so long as it doesn't involve the author explaining the plot.

I'm looking forward to another fantastic collection of stories like we got last time we had Cyberpunk. Hopefully we can expect another Nannybot story, and I'm sure the Dark Lord will have something up his sleeve -- or does the sleeve belong to the Minion? I'm not sure. Parson will undoubtedly have something to say about Redemption, though how he will fit it into Cyberpunk is anyone's guess. TJ outdid herself last time with a rap, and I even wrote something both comprehensible and not at the last possible second, myself. :D (I won't guarantee that could possibly happen twice.)

I saw the theme and genre and thought, should I try to rewrite my winning entry from when the theme was redemption into this genre. Instead of Grantarg the bewildered it'll be Buster McSplicerton. :) but, apart from feeling like cheating, I realised that it wouldn't be in the spirit of the challenges.

... I realised that it wouldn't be in the spirit of the challenges.
Oh? I've just been checking out Feb 2012, and was mightily disappointed to find the genre was fantasy not cyberpunk. I'm going to have to write a whole 75 words...from scratch!

Great choices, Cascade, and I'm in. First time I've been first in 75 worder (you must be really busy, Ashleyne!:)).

Now I'm just doing the Terrified Wait...when you sit after posting, certain that you must be over the word count limit. Uh, harebrain...are you out there?? :)

Best of luck, all! I'm really looking forward to reading the mind-expanding stories these choices should inspire in us all! CC

Hmmm ... after last month I've checked around and one definition has given me an idea. Just need to see if I can get it down into 75 without obscuring the point.

I haven't seen a challenge that has sparked an idea in me on the first day for a long time, but this one has, so thanks Cascade.

I've jotted it down and need to hammer it into shape now.

Oh and there seems to be a little more time again so....

CC – A psychedelic descent through transcendental perceptions, reflecting dissolution and resurrection in the fulfilment of prophecy, no matter how apocalyptic it might be, a damning redemption, offering a ringside seat to oblivion.

(Redemption + Cyberpunk) <75 words = ERROR

I tried to compute this but it didn't work

Mine's in. Not classical cyberpunk and not classical definition of redemption but hopefully my interpretation is still valid. Hopefully trying to be clever has not landed me in the dog doo :)
