Sekrit Santa 33 1/3

Ok, so here's a question. I've been holding off on sending the stories out so that it wouldn't be so obvious who wrote them, when we didn't have many entries in yet. But that assumes that I don't tell the recipients who wrote their stories.

In past challenges, my requested story has not been turned in, so what I received was "yours wasn't done, so here's a story from hope". :D But I assumed that, in general, people did not know who wrote their story and had to guess that along with the rest. Is that the case? Should I remove the identifying information from the stories before sending them?

Hm. I think in the first one, I was told it was Springs, but I wouldn't mind not knowing until after the guessing phase.

EDIT: Did you not get your requested story in either of the challenges so far?

No, I believe both times I got one of hope's extras, although after that, somebody (and I'm blushing because I can't remember who) wrote my story for me anyway. (Ratsy?)

I do have a spectacularly lousy memory, though, so I could be making the whole thing up. "I may be wrong, but I'm certain." :D

I'll have to go back through my emails and see.

I was told first time, and second time I knew it was from springs cos I think she told me. Also, I knew the characters. Also, I wrote for her.

This is my first one so I don't mind. I don't think I'll be good and the guessing part because I haven't been around for that long... I'll just be a sheep and go with the majority :D

Baaa!

Well, we're nearly there, but I haven't heard anything from the last laggers (that's usually me), and I'm looking at some judicious rearrangement of a few requests to make it work for those who are in.

If I have to send some stories to people who didn't request them, and then the stories come in after that, some may end up getting a bonus!

I should have accepted your offer of a second one; I hadn't realised it was going to be so long (my first time, remember).

And I have no idea whether I'll have any idea of whose is whose, but I refuse to be a sheep. Pig?

Err, well, it usually isn't so long.

I guess, being so bad at being on time, myself, I'm lousy at keeping everyone else on time.

Wanna write another one? You've got a few hours... :D

Go on, send. Though I should be thinking about the seventy-five word challenge, but the muse might strike.

If I were Mouse, I would demand cake.

I'll just stick with chocolate. It doesn't have to be made into a cake.

(I figure I qualify as a muse, in this thread -- I'm the one who tells everyone what to write. That entitles me to chocolate.)

She's been waving that sign since this site convinced me to write. I've already suggested she find another victim, since I'm never going to make any money.

The second time around, I think I was your author (if it was the story about the golden booties, set in Sweden). ;)

Don't sweat it, Remedy. I've been here for 3 years and I can still only identify one or two styles.

Nope, no golden Swedish booties for me -- mine was the alternate universes with flowers one, both times (because I was stubborn). :)

I didn't even remember the golden booties request, so I'm right there with you. Of course, I can't remember what the requests were that I wrote for those two, either. One was something about a map, and uhhhh....

The first go round my story came in with a name in it, the second time it didnt.

Ether way is fine with me. This is the first time I havent turned in a spare, it feels... odd. I never knew where my spares were going, or even who I was writing them for. I'd go through the list and see how many I could work into one, knowing that the story wasnt going to be all what they wanted, but I hoped it would at least hit something they had asked for.
