Arya's got her hit-list. I dunno about you guys, but I definitely have mine. Some of the characters are ones that need to die because of the crimes they've committed. Some of them are ones I'd like to see killed off just because they're annoying and I'm tired of reading about them, or I think they add little to the story.

Shortly before ADWD came out, I posted my "Wish List" for the people I'd like to see "bite the dust" here: http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum/532523-adwd-dead-pool-2.html#post1513105

After ADWD, I definitely need to revise my list. So here's my new hit list (in order).

  1. Ramsay Bolton (yup, he moved right up to the top)
  2. Roose Bolton
  3. Cersei
  4. Lord Walder Frey (my hatred of this one will never be tempered because of the Red Wedding)
  5. Selsye (she's taking Stannis' place, that #%$# needs to go!)
  6. Hizdahr zo Loraq
  7. The Green Grace (she was in on the whole thing with Hizdahr, I'm convinced)
  8. Qyburn (creeeeeeeeeeeepy)
  9. Ser "Robert Strong"
  10. Biter & that whole gang with him in the Riverlands (haven't heard from them since AFFC but they still need to die)
  11. Lord Tarly (just for being a dick!) --- Standing by this one, no wonder Sam is such a craven
  12. The Kettleblacks
  13. Little Lord Robert (if we are subjected to much more of his whining I'm going to reach through the book and throttle him myself)
  14. Lancel (he's about to be really dangerous)
  15. Any other Frey (for obvious reasons)
Of my original list posted on the other thread, only Pycelle was granted me in ADWD....assuming you believe that Ramsay's letter is a lie and Stannis is very much alive.

What's your hit list look like? Who needs to die and why?

Good topic, juleska, but you really ought to add the word, Spoilers, to your title. (You can do this by using the Go Advanced button in the editing window.)

Re: ASOIAF Hit List

Whoops, good point, Ursa! :( Too late for me to edit! Sorry! Can a mod take care of this for me?

Re: ASOIAF Hit List

Good list Juleska.

My top hates are Ramsay, Roose, Lord Walder Frey and various distasteful Frey offspring, Cersei and Selyse. Oh my, how I hate Selyse. What a cold, vicious, narrow-minded woman. The same can be said of Cersei too of course.

But if I could only choose one it would be Ramsay Bolton. And if I could choose his murderer it would be Theon Greyjoy.

Re: ASOIAF Hit List

It's funny how Theon was on my list before ADWD, and now he's off and I'm actually rooting for him.

Me too!

I hated Theon with a passion but now all I feel for him is sadness and compassion. Ramsay flayed his soul as well as his body.

I'll have to think about this some more, but for now I'd add Whit Whittlestick and Bowen Marsh (tears or no tears, good motives or not)

Thanks to whoever added the spoiler tag. :)

Yeah....in a way the Theon we hated WAS killed off. I guess this proves that I may be letting some on my list off easy by wishing their characters will die. Martin certainly proved there are fates worse than death.

Biter is dead - the shiny long thing thing Brienne thinks is an unusually long and bloody tongue that came out of his mouth was a sword through his head I'm 90% sure. TBH I'd prefer to see Walder Frey see the vast majority of his enourmous family die before he suffers his own excruciatingly painful death. It's clear he loves them though he doesn't show it (In the epilogue of AOCK Merret says he always said "Family is family"). In fact it'd be great if just Roslin and some of his younger kids/grandkids survived.

Nice list juleska! It echos my own pretty closely. With Imp's addition of Bowen Marsh I think it is complete. Just a few asides:

Theon, as juleska and Daisy said the Theon we hated is already dead, now he needs to do some killing of his own! RAMSEY!

Lancel, I think he will end up dead, but don't wish him so.

There are some here who I hope will get the fates worse than death, death is too good for them! The Many-Faced God is disgusted with them and will assure they live a VERY long time!

Cersei, will get every thing Magy saw for her, she will lose everything and everyone, sorry Tommen but don't think you will live long enough to enjoy your lovely wife, not sure about Marcella maybe she will just turn her back on mom. Jaime may indeed be The Valoucar (sorry can't spell it) but in my wish he does not kill her, decides he can't just walks away from her for good. Poor, poor Cersei! Her wealth, looks, family, power all gone what is a women to do?

Best of all the Late Lord Frey, hate him, hate him! I have to admit though that scheming *** that he is, he does it mainly for his family. Sooo, many, many Freys will die, Dany or Aegon or whoever will strip him of lands, titles and anything else that goes with it. He can finish his next hundred years in a shack in the swamp brooding on all the ills done to him!

Is he now? Okay, I obviously missed that because I thought he was still running amok. Here's hoping you're right!

Well as I said I likely am letting a few on my list off "the easy way". Lord Frey deserves to suffer deeply, though.

It's also worth mentioning that Jojen Reed saw Bran dead in a green dream.

Just saying, not wishing.

I love Bran and I've been rooting for him all along. But if he's destined to become a tree, then death would be the kinder fate.

One of the great things about GRRM's writing is how you come to hate some of the characters so much. So my list
  1. Ramsay Bolton
  2. All adult Freys, except
  3. Lord Walder Frey who should be the last.
  4. Cersei
  5. Any surviving bloody mummers and The mountain' men
  6. Euron
Can't think of any more right now

I can understand, but not agree.

They are not evil men, simply unimaginative and frightened men. They have probably brought their own doom upon them when the others attack, but I don't wish them dead.

Oooohhhh, I forgot about Euron. Yeah he needs to go on my list, too, the @$$%*!#!!

Not that I'm suggesting him, but it's interesting that after 5 books no one has Varys on their list.

'The storms come and go, the waves crash overhead, the big fish eat the little fish, and I keep on paddling.'
That refers to how no-one quite loves him - but no-one ever hates him enough to kill him and he's always useful enough to have around.
Curious that that's not just how the characters in the book view him but also we the readers!

Yeah that. LOL! :p

i'd agree with the addition of Bowen Marsh to the OPs list.
Keep Stannis on it, since he's surely not dead off-page (the only way he could be dead, is if the prologue for the next book shows it).
I'd add Dany herself to the list aswell. I don't know why i hate her so much, but she's possibly the LEAST sympathetic character in the whole series for me. oh she "tries" you'll say... oh but how thats not nearly good enough. the arrogance of that pseudo-queen/child repulses me in the same way Stannis does actually. Oh and Davos. he can die too.
