It is rather difficult to lead a normal life when you keep referring to Aunt Pol's wisdom in dealing with people.

And, since I'm not around SciFiFantasy people, I'm rather grumpy.

Does anyone want to just start rambling with me?

Think Adara/Garion. Or perhaps, Arell/Ce'Nedra.

Or even Durnik/Garion. Belgarath/Pol or Gods forbid, Belgarath/Beldin.

Egads.

No, I do mean well. I really do.

I'm a Speech and Drama coach, I'm 24, and (obviously) female.

An introverted extrovert, and I wear my heart on my sleeve.

Game on, anyone?

Welcome in. You were expecting to find a normal life here? I don't think the word "normal" was intended to stretch that far.
I suppose that, as a dryad, your femininity can not be questioned. What species of tree, by the way? For some reason I receive "sequoia" from the name (although they don't produce nuts).

But if you become a regular here why would you need to be penned up? A few more posts and you will be able to message your particular equivalent fruits (oh, not me, it's more than twenty years since I was Rivan from this world), and communications nowadays leave snail-mail (no, a information transfer method; the gastropods wear plate) far behind.

Strikes a pose.
Dramatically yours…

Normal, I'm not normal, who said that? Me!! Freaked out now, I don't know if I just spoke to myself or if myself spoke to me. Oh well at least we are playing the same game, and guess what I am winning, or am I? I read about half of Belgarath the Sorcerer and was enjoying it until my friend took the book back from me. I never got to finish the story. I read the The Diamond Throne and although it was a light fantasy read I did not like that he skipped parts when they are about to battle then skip to the winners and tell you nothing really. Are we making sense?

I'm always happy to have a good chat with a fellow Eddings fan! :)

I think I'm an umbrella tree. I don't think I could have anything sparse.

Sequoias however lovely, are humungous, and i'm not sure my systems could sustain that much pushing of sugar. hee.

Yes, indeed, the gastropods do wear plate. I propose emails of course. I like those things. Terribly customisable.

I'd LOVE to become a regular. I think I just may think about perhaps considering starting a collaborative project, a tumblr featuring the wisdoms of Eddings.

Oh, world. Don't you see? You have an open door in me.

Mr Penycate, former Rivan though you may be, I am pleased to have met you.

Warm thanks :)

Dearest, if you read Eddings for the battles, then you SHOULD read Thull Mardu. Or even Vo Mimbre from Polgara the Sorceress.

And of course, you make perfect sense.

As long as you aren't a pringles tree, you should be fairly safe.

I'm actually considering Googling 'pringles tree' to see if it means anything other than the snack.

But I'll take it at face value.

And tell you that I RATHER LIKE PRINGLES.

:D

I don't know if mine is on my profile... I don't think I'm allowed to post it here either... lemme look into it :)
