Sorry we feel left out so far, but "Chrildren of the Earth" will be showing in America July 20-24.

Now, that's interesting. I hadn't kept up with when it was supposed to be aired here, and this past weekend a friend of mine showed the thing to me, which leads me to wonder.......

Fortunately, there has been more promotion on this than on the Doctor Who specials now appearing on BBC America. I've got my calendar marked.

After seeing Martha and Mickey walk off with Captain Jack at the end of the last season of Doctor Who, I was afraid they would be Tosh and Owen's replacements, but apparently not.

If either character is pencilled in as a regular for series four, they still have time to rethink that.

As long as episodes haven't been filmed, I live in hope.

(Mickey might not be so bad, since the possibility still exists that they might provide him with a personality. But we've already seen what Martha would be like on Torchwood, right down to her old theme music.)

I think RTD actually had Martha pencilled in for Children of Earth, but filming schedules clashed with Law & Order: UK and he had to re-write (hence the Lois character). Wouldn't be at all surprised to see her back in series 4. Disappointed, but not surprised.

As for Mickey...not sure. Noel Clarke's been keeping himself pretty busy lately, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him back, either.

Trying to imagine Freema as a regular in a Law & Order spinoff, and my brain wants to explode.

Law and Order is pretty awful anyway, as I know there's about ten different types and i have no idea which one is which as the scripts and acting are so wooden...

martha won't be in series 4 as far as i'm aware due to the contract she now has with ITV. i think this is why they invented the lois character to be an almost direct replacement...

as for micky, i felt the other dimension micky was quite good, the one on earth was a bit of a drip -may as well have that policeman or reese as the fourth member...

I don't like this show. I like to watch animated TV series which is really full of fun and I used to watch these series with my friends.

When I saw a thread about Torchwood in the US I thought it was going to be about this

Children of Earth (Season 3) is what Torchwood should have been from season 1, a proper adult themed hard sci fi series that made you think OMG What If? Lets hope Season 4 will be equally as dark and adult themed throughout the whole 10 episodes.

Looking forward to Torchwood: The New World. I was so happy when I read the news, I was counting Torchwood on my cancel list already. It will be in BBC and Starz(States). Read that it will have Captain Jack, Gwen, Rhys and new characters. The new characters sounds interesting.
